INCHAM Hanoi & VASEP Strengthen Prospects for Viet Nam - India Seafood Cooperation

On August 12, 2025, InCham Hanoi had the pleasure of hosting the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) for an introductory meeting at our office in Hanoi. Attendees included Mr. Chaitanya Reddy – Vice Chairman of InCham Hanoi, Mr. Ravi Kumar – CEO of Multilateral Trading Pte., Ltd (MTPL), Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam – General Secretary of VASEP, Ms. Phung Thi Kim Thu - Editor-in-Chief of VASEP, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang – Editor of VASEP.
The meeting marked the beginning of promising discussions to boost seafood trade, investment, and collaboration between Vietnam and India. Both sides exchanged valuable industry insights, highlighting Vietnam’s position among the world’s top three seafood exporters and India’s significance as both a major market and a key supplier.
Key Highlights:
• Promoting Vietnamese seafood in the Indian market.
• Encouraging Indian investment in Vietnamese aquaculture and processing facilities.
• Strengthening cold chain systems and logistics infrastructure.
• Facilitating imports of raw materials, additives, and processing equipment from India.
• Collaborating on training, technology transfer, and R&D initiatives.
The two organizations agreed to exchange detailed proposals, hold follow-up meetings, and jointly promote trade opportunities in both markets.
