As part of the official delegation accompanying Secretary General and President To Lam during his landmark State visit to India (May 5–7), INCHAM was proudly represented in both New Delhi and Mumbai.
Our Chairman INCHAM Hanoi, Mr. Navendu Kumar, together with Chairman INCHAM HCMC Mr. Jai Prakash Sriram, actively participated in the Vietnam-India Business Forum and met key Vietnamese officials, including H.E. Minister Dao Hong Lan (MOH), Mr. Ta Manh Hung (Deputy Director of DAV) and Ms. Vinh (General Director of Vinapharm), Mr. Canh (Director of Strategic Vinapharm).
Our member voice from Mr. Indronil Sengupta:
Mr. Indronil Sengupta, who was also part of the delegation, shared that his company had the opportunity to sign several B2B agreements during the Mumbai business forum, in the presence of senior leaders from both India and Vietnam.
"Mumbai was the last day of a very successful State visit to India of the Hon'ble President of Vietnam, H.E. Mr. To Lam. Mumbai was very well decorated to welcome the President – it even included the digital lighting of the Sea Link Bridge.
Our company was fortunate enough to sign a few B2B agreements in this event in the presence of the President of Vietnam and the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, H.E. Mr. Devendra Fadnavis."
Key takeaways from our delegation's time in Mumbai:
- A milestone regulatory dialogue between DAV (Vietnam) and CDSCO (India) for smoother pharma market access.
- Exchange of 27 business-to-business agreements at the Mumbai forum, signalling strong private sector enthusiasm.
- A clear signal to deepen collaboration in AI, semiconductors, renewable energy, and supply chains.
INCHAM is now working to translate these engagements into real partnership oppoturnities for our members – from easier market access for Indian pharma to new collaboration in the digital economy and clean energy.
