On 24 January 2019, Indian Business Chamber in Hanoi (InCham Hanoi) along with the Embassy of India in Vietnam, organized a business get together as also a Tet Reception at Sheraton Hotel Hanoi, an annual party gathering over 100 attendees from both Indian and Vietnamese sides.
The get together was attended by dignitaries from the Vietnamese government, the diplomatic corps in Hanoi and representatives of Indian and Vietnamese industry and business. It was a joyful and warm dinner party where all the participants can enjoy Vietnam’s traditional Tet atmosphere but also admire the beauty of Indian dance performances.
Joining this occasion were the Ambassador of India to Vietnam - Mr. Parvathaneni Harish; Mr. Vu Van Minh, Deputy Director General, Southeast Asia, South Asia & South Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh, along with numerous Indian and Vietnamese guests.
At the ceremony, Mr. Parvathaneni Harish made a speech to review the successes achieved in the past year in Vietnam - India relations. He emphasized that India is a suitable partner for Vietnam to develop its socio-economic and promote trade flows. Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and India in the past year has increased by 50%, compared with the same period last year.
