India's relationship with ASEAN & Oceanic countries is a key pillar of our foreign diplomacy and the foundation of our Indo Pacific Policy. India’s bilateral trade with ASEAN economies presently estimated to be more than USD 142 billion and on the other hand India & Oceanic countries have grown significantly in the last decade, with this Region together sitting on a significant bilateral trade of 17.938 billion USD in 2018-19.
CII strongly believes that this is time for India to take the leadership role in reaffirming India’s Act East & Indo Pacific Policy on the Economic Front as well.
This Summit & Expo is a first of its kind trilateral business summit involving prominent countries from ASEAN and Oceanic Region and will have participation of Government, Enterprises, Business Chambers, Think Tanks & Academia from all the countries in the region.
The focus sectors for this Summit and Expo are:
