2023 VIETNAM BUSINESS FORUM FOCUSES ON GREEN GROWTH

The 2023 Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) opened in Hanoi on March 17 and March 19 under the theme of “Business Community in Partnership with Government of Vietnam in Fostering Green Growth”. INCHAM representatives have joined both sessions of the forum.

The forum is an on-going policy dialogue channel between the Government of Vietnam and business community towards a favorable business environment since 1997. It is co-organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the World Bank (WB), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Vietnam Business Forum Alliance (VBF). INCHAM has joined VBF and currently one of the 9 associated chambers of the forum.

At the high-level session, after listening to all issues and problems escalated by businesses, Prime Minister Chinh told the Forum that the Government will continue to finetune institutions, mechanisms and policies to create a favorable and equal business environment, and improve national competitiveness.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister attended a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Business Forum, an uninterrupted and close dialogue mechanism between the Government and the domestic and foreign business communities in order to improve business conditions. INCHAM chairman - Mr. Indronil Sengupta - was honored to receive the appreciation plaque from the Prime Minister along with our fellow chambers in VBF.
