Following up on our call for comments on the draft Resolution supporting businesses in the context of Covid-19 pandemic, the Government has issued Resolution 105 on September 9, 2021.

WBG in Vietnam is preparing a Vietnam Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR), which will serve as a core country diagnostic report to support the Government to (i) achieve its development goals in the context of mitigating and adapting to climate change, and (ii) identify opportunities for climate actions for the next five years by the public and the private sectors.

As you might know, the Government of Vietnam is calling for comments on the Draft Decree to Amend Decree 72/2013/NĐ-CP issued on July 15, 2013 and Decree No. 27/2018 / ND-CP issued on March 1, 2018 by the Government on the management, provision and use of Internet services and online information.

You might be aware that MONRE has called for public comments on the Draft Decree on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting Ozone layer which provides important regulations on organising and developing carbon market in the country. We herewith enclose the Draft (in Vietnamese only) in case you wish to comment.   

Given the severe impacts of the 4th wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Foreign Investment Agency - Ministry of Planning and Investment is doing a survey on the Covid-19 impacts on foreign invested enterprises and is seeking VBF's support in circulating and encouraging all members to take part in the survey.

As you might be aware, MONRE has recently issued the Draft Decree guiding the Law on Environment Protection 2020 for public comments. If you wish to raise any concern related to this Draft, please kindly send us by COB Wednesday, 4 August 2021 for our timely submission to the government.
